boomerang 迴旋鏢

boomerang是澳洲原住民用的那種迴旋鏢。常被拿來做反作用(與backfire相同)或是原到回點的意思。舉例來說：<Gold also boomeranged on central banks trying to diversify away from the U.S. dollar. >(Bloomberg News  2013/8/11)。這裡的boomerang就是在談金價回到的原狀或是往反方向移動。

跟回到原點有關的說法還有：rebound，bounce back等。The ball bounced back from the wall.就是球從壁上彈回來。rebound也是彈回的意思。在籃球上，我們也常說rebound，中文稱籃板球，英文就是彈回球的意思。

聲音彈回來叫echo，我們翻回音。
